THE SEED
“Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead let the Holy Spirit fill and control you. Then you will sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves.” Ephesians 5 : 18-19
Brethren, God promises to give every reborn Christian the Holy Spirit as a gift, which comes with a red flag of not getting ourselves into drunkenness. On the day of Pentecost, the disciples were filled with the spirit and Paul was also filled at his conversion. And at different occasions they were filled again and again and Paul commands Christians to be filled continually with the Holy Spirit. In addition, the Bible describes how people were being filled of the Holy Spirit, when we hear them saying; I was in the spirit, I was in the spirit on the day of the Lord or the spirit of the Lord is upon me. This suggests that a person full of the spirit occasionally needed a special filling for a certain task. Filling with the Holy Spirit qualifies us and equips us for service and for living a joy-filled, victorious life and nudges us toward becoming more and more like Jesus Christ. Our thoughts on whether a person filled with the Holy Spirit will inevitably speak in tongues as proof of his presence. Some say yes and others think that no single gift is greater than any other, so you can manifest a gift other than tongues and yet be considered filled with the Holy Spirit. What is most important is that, we open our minds, hearts and wills to God and the power that the Holy Spirit yearns to pour out on us.

Ara, Ọ̀lọrun ṣe ileri lati fun gbogbo Onigbagbọ to di atunbi ni Ẹmi Mimọ gẹgẹbi ẹbun, eyi wá pẹlu idiyele fún àwọn ẹnití ko fí ará wọn sinu ọti amupara. Ní ọjọ́ Pẹ́ńtíkọ́sì, àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ kún fún ẹ̀mí, Pọ́ọ̀lù sì kún fún ẹ̀mí bakanna nigbati a yí pada sọdọ Kristi. Ati ni awọn ìgbà ọtọtọ wọn kun fún ẹ̀mí leralera; Paulu sí paṣẹ fun awọn Kristiani lati máà kun fún Ẹ̀mí Mimọ nigbagbogbo. Ni afikun, Bibeli ṣe apejuwe bi awọn eniyan ti máà nkun fun Ẹmi Mimọ, nigba ti a gbọ ti wọn n sọ pe, Mo wa ninu ẹmi ni ọjọ Oluwa tabi ẹmi Oluwa wa lara mi. Awọn ero wa lori boya eniyan ti o kun fun ẹmi mimọ yoo fí èdè míràn sọrọ gẹgẹ bi ẹri ti wiwa rẹ. Diẹ ninu awọn eniyan sọ pé bẹẹni ati awọn miran ro wipe ko si ẹbùn ti o tobi ju eyikeyi lọ. O le ni ifarahan ẹbùn miiran ju tí ẹ̀bùn ahọn sibẹsibẹ a kà ọ kún àwọn tí o kún fún Ẹmí Mimọ. Ohun ti o ṣe pataki julọ ni pe kí a ṣi aya wa, ọkan ati awọn ifẹ si Ọlọrun; ti agbara Ẹmi Mimọ nfẹ lati tú jade sori wa.
