SPIRITUAL DEATH
THE SEED
“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it, for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17
Man is a product of body, soul and spirit. Any time we obey the flesh, the body is satisfied and it brings problem. When Adam sinned, sin entered the world and he brought death to every man. Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come. Therefore just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin and through the death of Jesus Christ salvation is returned to man. The Bible says, but as many as received him, to them gave power to become the sons and daughters of God. That is new birth in Christ Jesus. Sinners who have not confessed their sins and asked for forgiveness are considered dead, even though they may be physically alive, they are dead in sin. Such spiritual death eventually results in eternal death, everlasting punishment from God in the life-after. This death is called the second death. The only way to escape from spiritual death is spiritual birth(being born again) through Jesus Christ. When we believe in Jesus Christ, we are raised from death to a new life in him.

Eniyan jẹ ara, okan ati ẹmi. Nigbakugba ti a ba gbọran si ẹran-ara, ara yoo ni itẹlọrun ati pe o mu iṣoro wa. Nígbà tí Ádámù dẹ́ṣẹ̀, ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọ ayé, ó sì mú ikú wá fún gbogbo èèyàn. Ádámù jẹ́ àmì, ìṣàpẹẹrẹ Kristi, ẹni tó ṣì ń bọ̀. Nítorí náà, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ti tipasẹ̀ ènìyàn kan wọ ayé àti ikú nípasẹ̀ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀, nípa ikú Jésù Kristi ìgbàlà ti padà wá fún ènìyàn. Bíbélì sọ pé, ṣùgbọ́n iye àwọn tí ó gbà á, àwọn ni ó fi agbára fún láti di ọmọ Ọlọ́run. Iyẹn jẹ ibi titun ninu Kristi Jesu. Àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀ tí kò jẹ́wọ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn tí wọ́n kò sì tọrọ ìdáríjì ni a kà sí òkú, bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé wọ́n wà láàyè nípa ti ara, wọ́n ti kú nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀. Irú ikú tẹ̀mí bẹ́ẹ̀ máa ń yọrí sí ikú àìnípẹ̀kun, ìjìyà àìnípẹ̀kun láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run l’ẹ́yìn náà. Iku yii ni a npe ni iku keji. Ọ̀nà kan ṣoṣo tí a lè gbà bọ́ lọ́wọ́ ikú ẹ̀mí ni ibi ẹ̀mí (àtúnbí) nípasẹ̀ Jésù Kristi. Nigba ti a ba gbagbọ ninu Jesu Kristi, a jinde kuro ninu iku si iye titun ninu rẹ.
