“The Lord is on my side, I will not fear, what can man do to me?” Psalm 118:6
When we decide to follow Christ, we must understand that if we are of the world, the world will love its own but, because we are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore, the world hates you. We are in the world but not of the world. The world will constantly fight us. As a child of God, this must be expected. Also, know that the world is full of wickedness, and it is not going to be a smooth ride for anyone who believes in Jesus on earth. This is the nature of the world. As we live here, we shall face tribulations and persecutions that may want to overwhelm us. However, as Christians, we should always remember that we have God who never leaves nor forsakes his children. Elijah killed the prophets of Baal. Thereafter, his life was threatened. He ran for his life, and at a point, he opted for death. However, God had a different plan for him, but he thought death was the solution. Many people commit suicide, believing there could not be a better solution. Whilst, Elijah was asleep, God sent an angel to wake him, feed him and inform him of his next assignment. This is God’s will for Elijah. Whenever we find ourselves in difficult situations, let our prayer be that his will be done, for his thoughts towards us, is the thought of peace and not evil.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, help me to always settle for your will in all situations of my life in Jesus’ mighty name.
