LET YOUR MODERATION BE KNOWN

THE SEED
“Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.” Philippians 4:5

Moderation is the ability to do something in a controlled and reasonable manner. It means having self-control and avoiding being excessive in all we do as Christians. This generation is generally called the digital age; because of a handheld device, you can connect with anyone in the world. This is very good, but the concern is that such devices tend to have total control over you. These days, many are so preoccupied with their phones that they do not have time for God. They are chatting on social media yet cannot spend the same time studying God’s words or praying. Don’t give the devil liberty to rob you of God’s blessings, let your moderation be known to yourself and the people around you. If it will take you to place a Bible over your phone at night, so when you reach out for the phone in the morning it is your Bible you will pick instead. Ensure you prioritize activities that will make you grow spiritually. There is also moderation in eating and drinking. Daniel and his friends refused because the food had been sacrificed to idols, instead they requested water and vegetables. Moderation is part of Christian virtues. It is good to eat healthy and avoid eating junk. Smoking is a sin against one’s body. Let there be moderation in our dressing. Drunkards will of cause not inherit the kingdom of heaven according to the Bible. Moderation is key to a Christian life.
