“Little by little I will drive them out before you until you have increased enough to take possession of the Land.” Exodus 23: 30 NIV
God works in our lives with His strategy, although, unknown to us. His perfect plan is to gradually increase our skills and capabilities to cope until our cup is full. Psalm 23: 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. God’s plan is a process not a magical act, for the plan is to equip us for the level of elevation and the long–awaited promise. This grand plan requires His presence in verse 20, His angel bearing His name to protect his children and to lead them to safety. In verse 22, He promised to be an enemy to their enemies, bless their food and water, no miscarriage and no infertility. His strategy is outlined in verse 29, He will drive the enemies away, by securing portions of land gradually clearing them away, while the Israelites grow in number, and establishing and providing manpower for them, making them stronger in the fulfilment of the promise. Beloved, while we awaits the promises of God’s plan for us, it is crucial for us to be faithful in service, and position ourselves to do good work, to pay attention to His leading, to pray for revival when fatigue sets in, to never envy other people, destinies are different from each other, to obey God and do not compromise as instructed in verses 32-33 for the full benefits of obedience to be received. There are benefits in waiting with the right attitude, negative attitudes like fighting and backbiting can be dangerous and make us to lose our position.
