THE SEED
“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,” Luke 18:1 NKJV
Luke 18:1 encourages us with a parable from our Lord Jesus. He reminds us always to pray and not lose heart. This verse stresses on the importance of perseverance in prayer, even when answers seem delayed or circumstances challenging. Also, the verse points out another obstacle to answered prayer which is ‘impatience’. We often expect immediate answers to our prayers, but God’s timing may be different from ours. Sometimes, the Lord uses delays to test and grow our faith. Perseverance in prayer helps us overcome this obstacle. We should continue to pray with faith, knowing that God hears us and works all things for our good in His perfect time. In the journey of our faith, there are moments when it seems like our prayers linger in the waiting. The above scripture calls us to a persistent and patient prayer life. We need to understand that sometimes, the answers we seek require steadfastness in our faith, and the timing might not align with our expectations but in due time, if we do not faint we shall surely receive. Also the opening verse is an encouragement to stay committed, even when faced with challenges or uncertainties. In those moments of waiting, our continuous prayers testify to our trust in God’s perfect timing and unwavering faithfulness. As we navigate the seasons of waiting, let our prayers be marked by perseverance, our hearts anchored in hope, and our actions rooted in the belief that, in due season, God will answer us with the blessings we seek.

Luku 18:1 fi owe Jesu Oluwa wa gba wa niyanju. Ó máa ń rán wa létí nígbà gbogbo pé ká máa gbàdúrà ká má sì ṣe rewesì. Ẹsẹ yìí tẹnu mọ́ pàtàkì ìforítì nínú àdúrà, àní nígbà tí ìdáhùn bá dà bí èyí tí o fà sẹ́yìn tàbí ninu idojuko. Pẹlupẹlu, ẹsẹ naa tọka si idiwọ miiran si adura eyi ti n se ‘aini suuru’. A sábà máa ń retí ìdáhùn lẹ́sẹ̀kẹsẹ̀ sí àdúrà wa, ṣùgbọ́n àkókò tí Ọlọ́run lè yàtọ̀ sí tiwa. Nigba miiran, Oluwa nlo awọn idaduro lati ṣe idanwo ati dagba igbagbọ wa. Ìforítì nínú àdúrà ràn wá lọ́wọ́ láti borí ìdènà yìí. O yẹ ki o tẹsiwaju lati gbadura pẹlu igbagbọ, ni mimọ pe Ọlọrun ngbọ wa o si ṣiṣẹ ohun gbogbo fun ire wa ni akoko pipe Rẹ. Ninu irin-ajo igbagbọ wa, awọn akoko wa nigbati o dabi pe awọn adura wa ni idaduro. Iwe-mimọ ti o wa loke n pe wa si igbesi aye adura ati sũru. A nilo lati ni oye pe nigbami, awọn idahun ti a n wa nilo iduroṣinṣin ninu igbagbọ, ati pe akoko naa le ma ṣe deede pẹlu awọn ireti wa ṣugbọn ni akoko ti o to, ti a ko ba rẹwẹsi a yoo gba nitõtọ. Bákan náà, ẹsẹ tí ó bere jẹ́ ìṣírí láti dúró ṣinṣin, àní nígbà tí a bá dojú kọ àwọn ìpèníjà tàbí àwọn àini ìdánilójú. Ni awọn akoko idaduro wọnyi, awọn adura wa lemọlemọ jẹri si igbẹkẹle wa ninu akoko pipe ti Ọlọrun ati otitọ ododo re ti ko yipada. Bi a ti n la akoko idaduro kọjá, jẹ ki adura wa ki o ni sũru ninu, ọkan wa duro ni ireti, ati awọn iṣe wa ki o fidimule ninu igbagbọ pe, ni akoko ti o tọ, Ọlọrun yoo dahun wa pẹlu awọn ibukun ti a n wa.
