Aligning Our Will With God’s

THE SEED
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” I John 5:14 NKJV

Surrendering to God’s Plan is an act of aligning our will with His. In 1 John 5:14, we read that if we ask anything according to God’s will, He hears us. One other significant obstacle to answered prayer is when our desires don’t align with God’s plan. We might pray for things that are not in our best interest or are not in line with God’s purposes. James 4:3 also echoes this by letting us know that we don’t receive answers to some prayers because we are not asking rightly by putting God’s will into consideration. God, in return, as a loving and faithful father, who has a perfect plan for our lives, would refuse to grant us any request that will truncate His perfect will for our lives. To overcome this obstacle, we need to learn to seek His will in prayer and be open to His direction, allowthe Holy Spirit to inspire our request. Beloved, surrendering our desires to God and trusting in His wisdom to give us the best will always lead to prayers that are in harmony with His perfect plan, resulting in answered prayers that align with His purpose.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, let your holy spirit lead me in my prayers so that my request will always aligned with your perfect will. Amen
