HAVING AN ENDURING LOVE

THE SEED
”bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:7“

What does enduring love mean? Enduring love traditionally means love that lasts over time just as strongly as the day it began, through the tough times and the good times. In Christianity, it is the displayed love of God that He loved us while we were yet sinners, He brought Jesus to die and reconcile us to Him. In the opening verse, we learn that love endures all things. Love is patient and kind, and it endures through every circumstance. This is the kind of love that God request from us to Him and others. Therefore, Let’s strive to show enduring love in our relationships, just as God’s love for us is unwavering. One of the ingredients that can help us to build an enduring love towards God and man is compatibility, the Bible says can two walk together except they agreed? Our compatibility with God comes from our acceptance of Jesus as our saviour and giving our lives totally to Him. Then, we start to build an effective communication lifestyle with Christ through prayer and the study of His word. Honesty to God and man without compromise will grow our love seamlessly, unforgiveness is a deadly quencher of love, therefore, we must be ready to forgive all wrongdoings toward us and allow kindness to rule our hearts. If we do all these, we will be fulfilling the will of God in having enduring love.
