RENEWAL THROUGH THE WORD

THE SEED

”Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.“ Romans 12:2 NIV

The above verse reveals a powerful truth that the renewal of our minds is unavoidably connected to discerning God’s will for our lives in His word. It is a fact that the Scriptures brighten our pathway to guiding us away from being in agreement with the World’s standards and leading us toward the transformative light of God’s truth. Moreover, the Word does not only guide us but it also penetrates us to discerning our secret thoughts and leads us to genuine spiritual renewal. An essential thing to take to heart as we work towards spiritual renewal is that we must be doers of the Word, not just hearers only because the true transformation is experienced when we apply the teachings of the Scripture to our lives, allowing them to shape our actions and attitudes to conform to the Image of Christ. Moreover, abiding by God’s Word is the pathway to genuine discipleship and freedom from the traps of conformity to the World.

Beloved of God, as we travel our Christian path, let us embrace the call to spiritual renewal through the Word. Let us actively engage with the Scripture, allowing it to illuminate our path, penetrate our hearts, and guide us to discern God’s perfect will.

BIBLE READINGS:  Hebrews 4:12-14
