“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2 NIV
Set your affections on heavenly things, because your heart will be where your treasures are, we should always look up to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith and our lives; thinking of our heavenly home. We should try our best to abstain from sin and prepare ourselves for our heavenly home, there is nothing in life than the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life which are not of the Father. Running our race with patience and trusting God will help us to set our focus on the divine benefits. We should always do the needful in the house of the Lord, and store our treasures where moth cannot reach them and have a reward, don’t chase after worldly things and neglect the heavenly goals, as we know that everyone that loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him because the flesh is always in enmity with God. Love God, obey His commandments, chase after Godly things, let those things that are pure, of good reports be heard of you. Look up to God, set your affections on things above, be interested in heavenly things and Jesus will always come through for you.
