LORD OF YOUR LIFE

THE SEED

“Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Genesis 22:2 NKJV

God does not do human sacrifice, but He asked Abraham to set himself to offer his son as one. Are you prepared to carry out a difficult instruction from the Lord? Will you follow Him that far? or are you only here for the good times and the blessings? What I am asking is – Do you understand God, the one you say you are serving? Many people do not. In their hearts, they are serving a god of their imagination. A god for good times and good vibes. They are only in it, as long as they can get what they want to get. Many people only like to hear ‘Blessings’, but they struggle when God says ‘Don’t marry that person’ or when He says, ‘Forgive that brother or sister’ Examine your heart, what will you do if He asks you to do something difficult? Are you the person who will turn their back on all the good things He has done for you, the minute you are corrected or rebuked? Is He the Lord of your life? Because if He is truly your Lord, you will be in this race for the long run. For the good times, and the not-so-good times. You will be here for the blessings and the difficult instructions. Abraham had made up his mind to follow God before this instruction came. He wasn’t present for the blessings alone. God was his Lord. Let Him be your Lord too.
