GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR SERVICE
THE SEED
“If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11 NKJV
Just picture in your mind for a few seconds, the variety of wonderful and useful appliances we have in our homes. They have been engineered and built to perform tasks of all kinds. So are we made by God to perform various tasks to glorify His name. Do you know that without the inflow of electrical power, home appliances are just lumps of metal and plastic, unable to function and serve their purpose? They cannot do their work until electrical power is applied from a dynamic outside source. This is also applicable to us, without the Holy Spirit we can not function to please God. Many people preach and teach. Many take part in the music. Many administer God’s work. But if the power of the Holy Spirit does not have the freedom to energise all they do, these workers will be at the risk of losing their rewards. Their work will be in vain to both God and humanity. Natural Gifts are not enough in God’s work. The Holy Spirit must have the freedom to use our gifts in any manner to glorify God in the cause of our service to people.
BIBLE READING: 1 Peter 4: 7- 11
PRAYER: Lord, keep me watchful not to depend on my natural Gifts. But rather be effective in your work enough to allow Your Spirit to flow through me to be used for Your purpose in Jesus name, Amen.
