YOU NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT
THE SEED
“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:17 KJV
The Holy Spirit, the third member of the Trinity, is the true Spirit of God and a vital personality in each believer’s life. Since our bodies are God’s temple, the Holy Spirit resides in us; yet, for Him to be active in our lives, we must obey God’s will and listen to instructions. The Holy Spirit bestows benefits upon believers in various ways, such as being an advocate, a comforter, a revealer of things unknown to us, and a guide who helps believers understand and lighten our path toward spiritual development and alignment with God’s plan for our lives. Certain gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit are visible in our lives when the Holy Spirit is in us and we pay attention to Him. The fruits of the spirit, such as love, peace, and patience are the reward for paying attention to the Holy Spirit and are necessary for us to reach God’s predetermined destination. In our Christian journey, we are to learn to trust, listen, and obey the instructions from the spirit of God. If you follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, nothing is beyond your reach. Therefore, a Christian who aspires to grow in the spirit cannot do so without the Holy Spirit.
