SHARING IS CARING

SHARING IS CARING

THE SEED

“I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said it is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20: 35(KJV).

Sharing can be defined as the act of freely giving out something. Such includes effort, material goods, or emotional support to others in a way that demonstrates compassion, empathy and kindness. By sharing, we show that we value others and want to contribute to their well-being, even if it means sacrificing some of our resources or comfort. It’s a way of showing that we care about someone’s needs and experiences, and want to help them, when we can.

Sharing is about looking beyond our needs and wants, and considering the needs and wants of others.

It’s about being selfless and compassionate. It means thinking beyond just what we can gain from a situation and instead focusing on what we can give to others. In the old testament, the law of Moses contains several commands about helping the poor and needy, such as the requirement to leave the edges of fields unharvested so that the poor can glean from them. This practice was the factor that brought Ruth, the Moabite into the life of Boaz who later became her husband. She went to glean in the farm of Boaz, as a poor widow but her life later became a blessing to Boaz. It is indeed a blessing to share whatever you have with others, God desires it.
