REWARD

 REWARD

THE SEED

“The wicked man does deceptive work, But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward.” Prov 11:18 NKJV

Reward is the compensation given by God to individuals for their faithfulness, obedience, and good works. The concept of reward is mentioned throughout the scriptures, emphasising the idea that our actions have consequences and God will reciprocate our efforts. Hebrews 11:6 says, but without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Let us long to seek God and find our reward in Him. If you want to qualify for God’s reward, you have to be completely committed to pressing forward until you fully accomplish the assignment. Emphasis is laid on the story of Joseph, where God rewards those who serve Him, Joseph the youngest son of Jacob and his favourite son, was sold into slavery in the land of Egypt because his brothers were jealous of him. Despite being a slave, Joseph worked diligently and efficiently, earning the trust of his master, Potiphar. He eventually became the overseer of Potiphar’s household. When Joseph was falsely accused and imprisoned, he continued to demonstrate his diligence and integrity, earning the respect of the prison warden. He even interpreted dreams for fellow prisoners, including Pharaoh’s cupbearer. Years later, Pharaoh himself had a dream that none of his advisors could interpret. The cupbearer remembered Joseph and recommended him to King Pharaoh. Joseph interpreted the dream and the King was impressed by his wisdom and diligence, Pharaoh appointed him as his right-hand man, second to him in command. The story of Joseph calls for the need to be diligent in serving God as the reward thereafter is great. Halleluyah.
