DO NOT COMPROMISE YOUR FAITH

THE SEED

“And Jesus said unto him, no man, having put his hand to the plough and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 KJV

When a person has a goal he wishes to attain, he will desert any distractions and focus on the ultimate goal. This means certain habits which will prevent the achievement of the set goal are refrained from. Similarly, to wholly follow Jesus and gain the kingdom of heaven at the end of our race on earth, we must avoid worldly distractions such as our old ways of living, worldly affairs that compete unfavourable with the things of God in our lives. When we go back to our old ways of disobedience to God’s commandments or we are still attracted to secular ways, we will not be fit for the kingdom of God. We must daily focus on the mark for the prize of the high calling which is the straight and narrow path which leads to eternal life. We must drop our baggage of sin, lack of time for the things of God, lack of forgiveness, lack of faith, prayerlessness and other unholy baggages and set our affection on the things of God, putting God first in everything we do, keeping God’s commandments, determining to have a close relationship with God through constant prayer and bible study will help us to press forward to this ultimate aim of making heaven our eternal home.

BIBLE READING: Philippians 3: 13-19.

PRAYER: My Lord and my God, please help me to focus on the prize of the Kingdom of heaven at the end of my sojourn on earth.
