I lived in Gambia a few years ago. To enjoy the place, I decided to understand the cultures. I lived with a local family; I joined them in cooking, eating, and sitting with them for entertainment after lunch. Because of my relationship with them, they accepted the brethren from the Church I attended and employed some of them as domestic servants through my recommendation. Sometimes, I tell them of the goodness of God. For effective evangelism, we can adapt our lifestyle, which will enable us to understand the culture without compromising the message. When God wants you to be in a certain place for His work, He will give you insights as to the best way to approach any challenge(s) in the missionary journey. Mary Slessor was a missionary in Nigeria who lived among the indigenes to understand the culture and language. As a result, she won many souls for Christ. Paul became weak to win the weak; he became a Jew to win the Jews. Additionally, he humbled himself as a servant to all, exhibiting humility, love, grace, and kindness. By doing so, we get revelations of what they are going through and how you can help them learn about Christ. We need a unique approach to be able to evangelise effectively among different people of colour, culture, ages etc; our character, dressing, the way we speak, and our opinion to issues affecting them will all determine how they receive the good news. Are these enough to convince people around you that God is love? What do you do, if God gives you a different approach? Do you make use of it? Or do you miss the opportunity to win souls?

Njẹ iwọnyi to lati parowa fun awọn eniyan ti o wa ni ayika rẹ pe Ọlọrun jẹ ifẹ? Kini o ṣe ti Ọlọrun ba fun ọ ni ọna ti o yatọ? Ṣe o lo o bi? Tabi ṣe o padanu aye lati ṣẹgun awọn okan?
