RECOGNISING THE EFFORTS OF OTHERS

Negotiation is a skill to use in collaborating with or seeking support from someone. Whenever you want to persuade them for future prospects and collaboration, you can do so by mentioning some benefits of the collaboration. It may be a financial incentive to recognise their efforts and mention their participation in the project at the end. In leadership and management, use the acronym WIIIFT (What Is In It For Them) to get total buy-in from people. I also use this analogy in evangelism. Acknowledging other people gives you a chance not only to be nice, but it also shows a communal understanding, sharing of resources, and love in action. Such people will be renewed spiritually, when they know that they are keeping the scripture concerning doing good to heart, which says, Do not forget to do good and share with others. God is pleased with such a sacrifice, God cannot do what man can do for himself. If you want continuous loyalty and service with no grumbling from your followers, appreciate them. God is the rewarder. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 We should make use of available opportunities to recognise the work, efforts, and good attitudes of the workers in the vineyard, serving God. Apostle Paul never failed to acknowledge the help he received and people’s contributions. In Romans 16, he mentioned Priscilla and Aquila, Epenetus, Mary, etc. What practical ways can you show your commitment and love to different ministries in the Church? How can you practice generosity with a genuine heart?
