PROMISED LAND

Jesus calms the storm whilst crossing a lake with the disciples. 'And they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. And he awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water' Luke viii 22-25 (Photo by Culture Club/Getty Images)

PROMISED LAND

THE SEED

And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, Master, we perish. Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water and they ceased, and they were calm. Luke 8:23 KJV

The symbolism behind the story of Jesus calming the storm should bring great encouragement and hope for anyone facing a storm in life. Storms in the life of a believer can take any form, from barrenness, sickness, burdens, bad relationships, even death. God is capable of calming every storm in our lives. This life is full of woes, life is filled with trying, and uncertain times. God is always by our side to walk with us through the storms. God sees every challenge we are facing, but He wants us to call on Him, and He also wants us to trust and obey Him, so that He can do wonders in our lives. Sometimes, when we pray, we think God did not hear us, but He hears our cry. He knows what we are passing through, but He wants us to surrender our lives to Him and to obey His commandments. In the book of John 14:1; Jesus said let not your heart be troubled, believe in God and believe also in Me. Not every storm comes from the devil,we also can cause storms to happen in our lives,by committing sin. God is not a magician,He only protects those who trust and obey Him. The story of Joseph is a storm, when his jealous brothers sold him to slavery, they thought that was the end,but God used their jealousy to manifest His glory into Joseph’s life. So, brethren no matter the circumstances, count it all joy. God is strongly there for you, God can still the chaos and disorder in our lives.
