I WILL NOT BE DECEIVED
THE SEED
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”John 8:32 NKJV
The topic is more of a self-declaration to cause awareness in our spirit to safeguard us from deceit. In this world full of confusion and false teachings, it is important for us believers to stand firm in God’s truth. The enemy constantly seeks to lead us astray, but we must remain vigilant and rooted in the Word of God. The key to not being deceived is the truth of the word of God, to read and study it regularly. Jesus Himself warns us in Matthew 24 to Watch out that no one deceives us. This warning casts the responsibility of being or not being deceived on us, it means that we must work with the Holy Spirit to protect ourselves. The opposite of being deceived is being revealed in the truth. So, to avoid deception, we must know the truth. As declared in the opening verse, Jesus said, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. When we are grounded in the Scripture, we can discern lies and stand firm in faith, no matter what comes our way. By staying in prayer, reading God’s Word, and seeking His wisdom, we can guard our hearts against deception with the help of the Holy Spirit.
