ADD VIRTUE
THE SEED
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge.” 2 Peter 1:5 (KJV)
As children of God, we are called to add virtue to our faith. To fully embrace this, we must first understand what virtue means. Virtue is moral excellence, a behaviour that reflects high moral standards. It is a quality that must accompany our faith, enabling us to live lives pleasing to God and others. We can use the following steps to add Virtue to our lives. Love and Obey the Word of God. The Word of God should dwell in our hearts, guiding our actions and decisions. It serves as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, awakening our conscience and helping us resist evil. Desire to Do Good. We are commanded to do good to others, avoiding evil, and striving for what is good. Let kindness and love lead your actions in all relationships.Lead by Example: As believers, our lives should reflect the light of Christ. When others see God’s goodness in us, they are drawn to serve Him. Be an ambassador of God’s love and truth. In all things, let your conduct align with your faith. By exercising self- control and moral excellence, you will experience the joy and freedom of living a virtuous life. Remember, God is the ultimate source of virtue, and our lives must reflect His character.
