THE SEED
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” — John 1:12 (KJV)
Being a child of God transforms every aspect of our lives. We receive a new identity—we are called Christians. We are given a new destiny—eternal life with Him. And we are granted a new purpose—to live according to His will. Though all human beings are created in God’s image and are precious in His sight, sin has separated us from Him. However, through faith in Jesus Christ, we are reconciled with God and adopted into His family. This truth should fill our hearts with peace and joy. We are never alone; we are surrounded by the unwavering love of our Heavenly Father. Our identity as God’s children should be evident in the way we live. The way we treat others and the choices we make reflect our relationship with Him. A true child of God is one who is led by the Spirit, focused on spiritual things rather than worldly distractions. God’s love for us is immeasurable. He sacrificed His only begotten Son as a ransom for our sins so that we could be His children. Today, He invites you to surrender your life to Him completely. He is always ready to accept you with open arms.
