THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN

THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN

THE SEED

“And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.” Judges 6:23 (KJV)

Life presents many uncertainties that can stir up fear. Sometimes, past traumas or the misfortunes of others cause us to worry about what might lie ahead. With bad news flooding our timelines and conversations, fear of the unknown can easily take root. Yet, God consistently instructs His people to be courageous. When Joshua was called to lead Israel after Moses’ death, God repeatedly told him to be strong and fearless (Joshua 1:6–9). That same instruction applies to us today: do not be afraid. Even when we don’t know what the future holds, we know Who holds the future. The all-knowing God is with us. His peace calms our fears, and His presence assures us that we are never alone in uncertainty.

BIBLE READING: Joshua 1:6–9

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the courage to trust You completely and not be afraid of the unknown in Jesus name, Amen.
