MY GLORY WILL BE IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE LORD

MY GLORY WILL BE IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE LORD
THE SEED
“Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord…” Hosea 6:3
The desire to be great and enjoy a good life comes naturally to everyone on earth. We aspire to achieve great things, make an impact, become influential, and leave our marks on the sands of time. Scripture affirms that God created us in His image and desires for us to prosper, be in good health, and achieve success. However, research and experience have shown that even after attaining great success, there remains a void within man that nothing else can fill. According to Scripture, God has placed in every heart a yearning and awareness that there is more to life than what we see (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Until this inner longing is fulfilled, nothing in life can truly satisfy the soul. In His infinite mercy, the Lord shows us through His Word that while wisdom, strength, and riches are good, they are not the main purpose of our existence. All human achievements lose their relevance at death. Rather, we are to glory in the fact that we know and understand God—who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness. It is this knowledge that gives true purpose to life and satisfies the soul in a way nothing else can. God delights when we walk in this revelation. We attain this level of understanding by becoming familiar with God, pursuing Him (Hosea 6:3), and obeying His commandments wholeheartedly. The benefits of knowing and understanding God are numerous. It positions us for victory and lasting success because our priorities align with God’s will. Additionally, knowing and doing what pleases God brings us all that we need for a fulfilled life. It helps us live free from error and ultimately leads to eternal life.
