THE SEED
“But he went out and began to proclaim it freely and to spread the matter, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter the city, but was outside in deserted places; and they came to Him from every direction.” Mark 1:45 (NKJV)In Mark 1:45, we see the uncontainable joy of a man who had just received healing from Jesus. Though Jesus had instructed him not to speak about it, he could not keep silent. He went out and spread the news widely, drawing multitudes to Jesus. This passage reveals the power of personal testimony. When we experience the goodness and mercy of God, it naturally stirs a desire within us to tell others. While obedience is important, the man’s passionate response shows us the depth of gratitude and awe that comes from a true encounter with Christ. As believers, we are called to be carriers of the Good News. The world around us needs to hear of the hope, love, and salvation found in Jesus. Let us not be silent about the works of God in our lives. Let our testimonies be tools that draw others closer to Him.
