FOLLOW GOD’S COUNSEL

THE SEED

“Men, I see that our voyage from here on will be dangerous; there will be great damage to the cargo and to the ship, and loss of life as well. But the army officer was convinced by what the captain and owner of the ship said…” — Acts 27:10–11 GNB

The counsel of God often appears contrary to common sense or human logic. Human wisdom relies on past experiences or conclusions that may not always be accurate. But God’s counsel is anchored in what is to come—truth that only He knows. Paul warned of danger, but the people trusted their own reasoning and paid the price. When God speaks, obedience secures our safety. Trusting His counsel above human wisdom protects us from the shipwrecks of life.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, regardless of my understanding or past experiences, help me to always follow Your counsel. Amen.

Ọgbọ́ n ènìyàn da lé ori àwọn ìrírí tí ó ti kọjá tàbí àwọn tí a tí sọ parí, tí kó kùn ojúòṣùwòṇ . Ṣùgbọ́ n ìmọ̀ ràn Ọlọ́ run ni ìfi- ẹsẹ -mulẹ nínú ohun tí ń bọ̀ —òtítọ́ tí Òun nìkan ṣoṣo mọ̀. Pọọlù kìlọ nípa ewu, ṣùgbọn àwọn ènìyàn ́̀̀́ náà gbẹ́kẹ̀ lé ìrònú ara wọn, wọ́n sì koju àbájáde ìdààmú tí o ti ẹ̀hìn rẹ ̀jáde. Nígbà tí Ọlọ́ run bá sọ̀ rọ̀ , ìgbọràn máa ń dáàbò bò wá. Gbígbẹ́kẹ̀lé ìmọ̀ràn Rẹ̀ ju ọgbọ́n ènìyàn lọ ń dáàbò bò wá kúrò lọ́wọ́ ìjì ìparun inú ayé.
