THE SEED
“Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.” – John 6:26 (KJV)
Many seek God only for what they can get from Him — not for who He is. Jesus rebuked those who came only for bread and not for truth. True disciples seek Christ for salvation, not for selfish gain. The devil tempted Jesus to turn stones into bread, but He responded that man must live by every word from God. Your motive for seeking God determines your depth in Him. Choose to follow Him for eternal life, not temporary benefits.
