ENDURING TEMPTATIONS

ENDURING TEMPTATIONS

THE SEED

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him.”  James 1:12

Temptation is common to all, but it is not undefeatable. We endure not by self-will alone but by grace: praying before the pressure mounts, fleeing when necessary, and answering lies with the truth of Scripture just as Jesus did. God always provides a way of escape, though it may look like wisdom, distance, accountability, or a swift “no.” Temptation promises quick pleasure with hidden costs. Remember that sowing to the flesh reaps decay, but sowing to the Spirit reaps life (Gal. 6:7–8). Invite trusted believers to walk with you; two are better than one, and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Endurance is love in action choosing Christ over cravings and it is crowned by the Lord Himself.

Every resisted temptation becomes a rung on the ladder of spiritual strength.
