PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

THE SEED

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law.”  Galatians 5:22–23 NKJV

Patience (longsuffering) is grace under delay refusing anxiety when answers seem slow. It is not passivity but Spirit-enabled steadiness that keeps trusting God when sight offers no encouragement. Hannah carried this grace: year after year she prayed, wept, worshiped, and waited. In God’s time, Samuel was born, and her vow became a testimony. Job’s story shows the same jewel from another angle. Loss piled upon loss, yet he clung to God with honest lament and stubborn faith. When the testing ended, God restored him beyond what he had lost. Patience did not make the fire cooler but it kept him in the furnace until God’s purpose was complete. For believers, patience is family resemblance we look like Christ when we endure like Christ. Keep praying, keep obeying, keep showing kindness; God’s delays are never denials, and His timing is always redemptive. Keep waiting well; God is working while you are waiting.

BIBLE READINGS:  1 Samuel 1:8–18

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me to display the virtue of patience in my daily life. Amen.
