THE POWER OF CALMNESS
THE SEED
“If your ruler becomes angry with you, do not hand in your resignation; serious wrongs may be pardoned if you keep calm.” — Ecclesiastes 10:4 (GNT)
Moments of tension often reveal the true state of the heart. When corrected, accused, or confronted especially by people in authority it is natural to react defensively. Yet, calmness can defuse tension, while pride can escalate a situation beyond repair. As believers, we are called to reflect Christ in our speech, actions, and attitudes. Staying calm in heated moments is not weakness; it is strength under control. Even when wrongly accused, a gentle spirit opens doors for mercy and fair judgment. God works with the humble. Calmness has the power to turn away anger and can bring restoration where pride would have brought disaster.
Reflection: Calmness speaks louder than agitation.
BIBLE READING: Proverbs 15:1–5
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me the spirit of calmness to handle all situations, especially with people in authority. Amen.
