SANCTIFIED FOR THE ASSIGNMENT
THE SEED
“He touched my mouth and said, ‘…your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.’” — Isaiah 6:6–7 (NIV)
Isaiah saw the Lord’s glory and instantly sensed his unworthiness. God did not leave him there; He purified Isaiah’s lips with a live coal, then commissioned him. In God’s pattern, cleansing precedes sending sanctification before service.
Jesus modelled this rhythm—baptised, then led into a wilderness of separation and testing before public ministry. Our “wilderness” seasons are God’s workshops: prayer, fasting, repentance, and recalibration of vision. What matters is not the length of the fast but the depth of devotion. Consecration aligns us with God’s heart—freeing us from empty ritual and fuelling justice, mercy, and compassion. From that place, we serve with fresh power, clarity, and grace.
Reflection: God purifies before He sends; yield to His cleansing and be ready.
BIBLE READING: Isaiah 6:1–10
PRAYER: Lord, sanctify my heart and lips. Prepare me for the work You’ve assigned and empower me to serve with purity and courage. Amen.
