STAY AWAKE, STAY READY
THE SEED
“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning.” — Luke 12:35 (NIV)
Israel ate the first Passover in travel clothes staff in hand, sandals on feet because deliverance was at the door. Spiritual readiness looks the same: alert, prayerful, obedient, and mobile at God’s command. The enemy exploits spiritual drowsiness. While men slept, tares were sown; while Samson slept, his strength was shaved. Prayerless routines and distracted minds open doors to subtle sabotage. Watchfulness guards what God has planted. Keep your lamp trimmed—stay in the Word, pray persistently, and obey promptly. The Good Shepherd protects the vigilant; the adversary preys on the complacent.
Reflection: Spiritual alertness preserves what God has entrusted to you.
BIBLE READING: Exodus 12:1–11
PRAYER: Lord, awaken my heart. Keep me watchful in prayer, rooted in Your Word, and ready to obey at once. Amen.
