HUMILITY LIKE A CHILD
THE SEED
“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 18:3 (KJV)
The disciples of Jesus asked who was greatest in the kingdom, expecting an answer about power or position. But Jesus turned their thinking upside down. He pointed to a little child, teaching that true greatness is rooted in humility, trust, and lowliness of heart. Children are fully dependent on their caregivers; they trust without hesitation. In the same way, believers must depend on God without pride or self-reliance. We must trade worldly ambition for childlike faith.
Beloved, no matter your status, education, or achievements, the kingdom calls for humility. The way up in God’s kingdom is down — a heart bowed in simple, trusting obedience.
Reflection: Greatness in God’s kingdom begins with humility.
