DON’T ABIDE ALONE 1 – DIE TO YOURSELF

DON’T ABIDE ALONE 1 – DIE TO YOURSELF

THE SEED

MAY 17 TUE 2022

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die,  it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. (Verse 24)” Jn. 12: 23 – 26 Jesus began here by making reference to the price He was about to pay for our  salvation.

But he goes in verses 24 to 26 to teach us that for the Lord to be glorified in our lives, we  also have to similarly ‘die’ to a few things. Your flesh, your ego, your preference, your taste, your  will; all these things are important for they do constitute who you are; for better or worse.

But when the time comes, when the Holy Spirit requires it of you, you must be prepared  to set them all aside to obey God’s instruction. Because even though God knows who we are  and what we like, sometimes for our own good it is necessary for Him to ask us to do things  that we would prefer not to do.

If you cannot make that decision to walk in this level of obedience, it is impossible for  you to attain to the fullness of what God has called you to be in this life.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I refuse to value my life above what You require of me. Help me walk in full  obedience, in Jesus name Amen.
