SEEK THE LORD EARLY

SEEK THE LORD EARLY

THE SEED

“O God, thou art my God, early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh  longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. Psalms 63:1

There are three periods in a man’s life; morning, afternoon and evening period just like  in a day. The scripture above is talking about waking up early in the morning to seek the face of  God, praising, praying and listening to what He has to say to us.

To seek the Lord early can also mean to set out to know and to do the will of the Lord at  an early age, as a small child and at the useful age of a youth, when one still has the strength  and power to do whatever one wishes to do.

An early age is a very acceptable time to actively show our love towards the God that  gave us life and purpose. This negates the erroneous idea of some people, that running life’s  race of achievements while young, then create time to serve and do the will of the Lord at an old age. It might be too late by that time, as the devil may not even allow some to reach old age  and for some, with God’s intervention, they will.

Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years  draw nigh, when thou shall say, I have no pleasure in them. Ecclesiastes 12:1. PRAYER

I receive the grace to love the Lord and do His will very early in my youthful age in Jesus name.  BIBLE READINGS: Psalm 63:1-8
