Avoid Any Form Of Distraction

                                     AVOID ANY FORM OF DISTRACTION
THE SEED
Jesus told her “First I should feed the children- my own family, the Jews. It isn’t right to
take food from children and throw it to the dogs” Mark 7: 27 NLT.
This was Jesus speaking here to a Gentile woman who had come for deliverance for her
daughter that was possessed by an evil spirit. Many interpretations have suggested that Jesus
was not literally calling this woman a dog but was simply comparing her situation/culture/
nationality to that of a dog. But the point is that this woman did not allow or let this act of
comparison get in her way of getting what she came to Jesus for. She was solely focused,
setting her heart to receive an answer and deliverance for her daughter. Many Christians of
today are drawn back from following the Lord to the end or until they receive their blessings
from Him because they were distracted by other people’s opinions about them and their
present situation or predicaments.
Many people allow this to become their focus when they come to church. And they take
offence; allowing it to determine how they respond to the Lord’s compassion over them. Don’t allow other people’s opinions or judgement get in the way of your breakthrough and your salvation
PRAYER
Father, help me to remain focused on You so that I will not give in to the opinions of others that may jeopardise the success of my journey with You, in Jesus name. Amen.
