Which Seed Are You Carrying?

THE SEED
“For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.” Galatians 5:17 ESV

You can only bear the fruit of the seed you are carrying. In other words, you can only bear the fruit of the Spirit when the Holy Spirit has taken root in your life. In the same manner, one can bear the fruit of the flesh when the work of flesh takes root. The Holy Spirit is rooted in us when we are reborn in Christ, separated from all lust and ungodly acts, when we start to gauge our actions, words, aspiration, and fashion with the standard of heaven. The manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit does not just happen because we wish for it, it manifests through perseverance to win the battle against the flesh. According to the opening scripture, both the spirit and the flesh are at fight within us, but the Holy Spirit wins when we surrender to His authority.

PRAYER
