Mystery And Blessing Of Dedication

THE SEED
“Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beasts: it is mine” Exodus 13:2.

Dedication means serving God’s interest. It is not a gift but it’s a choice you make. Your life can be outstandingly successful by dedicating it to God in faithful and committed service. Living and non-living things can be dedicated to God: your life, marriage, business, career, day, week, month, year, ministry, finance etc. To dedicate your life to God is to choose life rather than death, blessing rather than curse. Deuteronomy 30:19. No matter how great a life is, if it’s not dedicated to God, it will soon disappear. The interesting account in Daniel 6:3-20 reveals that dedication distinguished Daniel in Babylon. His life and all were resolutely committed to God. Hence the conspiracy of the enemies to undermine and destroy him failed woefully because God intervened. His enemies died in
his place and this promoted him. The blessings of dedication are numerous: dedication gives the believer the privilege of a special place with God to come boldly to His throne and stand in his presence. Dedication will also put you in the class of God, make you to rule in the midst of your enemies and over adverse circumstances. Dedication will make you a man after God’s heart like David. David was a man who yielded to God's word to do his will (1st Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22). Even where and when he faltered, he was quick to repent. (Ps. 51:10-12). On the other hand, Saul failed because his heart was not right with God neither was his life totally dedicated to Him.
