Purer Than To Behold Evil

THE SEED
“Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon that deal treacherously” Hab. 1:13

It is no gainsaying that the children of Israel right from Egypt to the promised land, were known for murmuring against God, Moses and Aaron. A sin that is very grave before God despite the numerous signs and wonders of God witnessed by them. It is often said that the eyes of God do not behold sin. God, wanting to speak with the children of Israel on Mount Sinai, instructed Moses to inform the people to sanctify themselves for three days before they could meet with Him at Sinai, which they did. Surprisingly, even after obeying the instructions of God by sanctifying themselves for three days, there were still boundaries set for them that they should not cross, lest God break forth upon them Ex.19:24. This is the same God who always visited man in the garden of Eden before the fall of man. God does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His power is the same. He is not more powerful than before, neither is He less powerful. It is our sins
that separated us from Him. The lesson here is that even with the three days of sanctification, they were still not clean nor worthy enough to be able to stand in His presence. Thank God for the blood of Jesus made available to us in this generation that is able to cleanse us through and through. Do not take the grace of God for granted, you may not earn it back.

PRAYER
Lord, give me the wisdom to appreciate and maintain every grace made available to me in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
