Who Is The Holy Spirit?

THE SEED
“Now the Lord is the Holy Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty” 2 Corinthians 3:17.

Imagine God’s Spirit hovering over the face of the Earth, everything was dark and without form until God breathe out the words, “let there be light”, in an instant everything changes. Genesis 1:1-2. This is what God’s Spirit does, His Spirit is always close to us, near to us, and bringing to light what was once covered in darkness. The Spirit of God leads the Israelites out of Egypt and throughout the wilderness. He was with prophet Isaiah giving him the words to say about the coming of our Lord Jesus. He was with David, empowering him to defeat Goliath. He was with Jesus setting Him apart as God’s Son. God the Holy Spirit is still here, so anybody who believe in Jesus can experience the Holy Spirit’s profound presence. By receiving the Holy Spirit, God empowers you to live in a way that honours Him and reflects His character. When we ask God to draw near to us, we become more aware of God’s presence and power in our lives. Which means that even in our darkest moments, we are never actually alone, because God’s Holy Spirit is close to us than our breathe. No matter our situation or background, when we belong to Christ, His Holy Spirit is with us at all times, empowering and strengthening us and praying on our behalf. He understands our needs, because He understand us. Even when we’re at our weakness there is nothing that God cannot do through us because the Holy Spirit lives within us.

PRAYER
Father in Jesus name, please give us the gift of the Holy Spirit, and to always do what the Holy Spirit directs. Amen.
