Dwelling In His Presence

THE SEED
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall
the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:2

In the opening scripture, we learnt of heart-warming and comforting pledge from God, to be with us His children in all circumstances. Water and fire are good servants but bad masters. In the scripture above they symbolize bad masters. God is making it clear to His children that life may not be rosy after all; His children will go through trying times which may look like water and fire. However, He has given us His Word that He will be with us and control the situation: if the trial is like rivers, they will not overcome us and if it is like fire, it will not burn
us. This should give us confidence that whatever difficult times we may be going through, the presence of God is available to deliver us. Dear beloved, the healing power of Jesus is always
available to put our lives back together. When desperation comes, whatever its source, if we only turn our eyes upon Jesus, hope will live within us.

PRAYER
In the face of tribulations, O Lord give me the power to look up unto you, for succour. In Jesus name Amen.
