Be Guided By Divine Timing

THE SEED
“You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come.” John 7:8 ESV

Amazingly, one would have thought that  Jesus with all His authority and power would override timing, even though He has the power over everything, yet He recognised that there’s time for everything and even powers and authorities function and are regulated within time. There are situations that one needs to walk in wisdom and obedience instead of a display of power and influence. As children of God, we need to understand when, where and how we should respond to situations. Even in a situation when people come to us with their suggestive mode of advice that can make us work outside of God’s timing of events in our lives, just like it happened to the Lord Jesus. His brothers advised Him to show Himself to the world because of the signs and wonders they witnessed. But Jesus was walking in the wisdom of God and recognised that even though their advice was right but the timing was equally wrong. Any step taken outside of the right time could cause unfulfilled dreams, truncate great vision, dim a shiny glory and kill a great idea. We don’t need to seek self-recognition when it’s not the right time for us to be recognised. As children of God let us learn to walk inside of God’s timing in every area of our lives and it shall be well with us.

PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I receive your Spirit to help me walk in the time of God rather than mine or others.
