The Parable Of The Sower III

THE SEED
“…And some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.…” Mk. 4: 7 NKJV

Before a farmer plants, he clears his farm so that his precious seeds do not have to compete for sunlight, water and nutrients with weeds. Similarly, make room in your life for the plan/dream/vision/Word of God to grow. Understand that a plan that is not executed remains just a plan, and a dream or vision not taken to heart dies naturally, likewise, the word of God heard but given no space can not change anyone. Don’t allow the Seed of God to compete for your attention with hobbies, entertainment, games, food or friends. In as much as these things are part of our lives, we should apply wisdom not to allow them to choke the seed of God’s Word in our hearts, but rather let the word of God choke any of them that will not allow us to live according to the word of God. The things of God prosper in our lives when we give them priority and first place.
