I Am Precious To God

THE SEED
“Since you are precious and honoured in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” Isaiah 43:4

Thinking of the above verse, it is so deep that it makes me shiver and I remember a clip that my children shared with us some months ago, they made jokes about how Africans pass their message to the listener in a specific tone that it stays or sticks to the listener. The clip is about some kidnappers that were caught with the lifeless bodies of their victims. There was a particular man interviewed, and when he was asked about his view, he made a sarcastic laugh and said “ I’m not joking I can kill o… If this is done to Emmanuel…the kidnappers would be dead before the arrival of the police ” it simply means that his children are so precious to him that he would do anything to protect them or avenge them of anyone who hurts them. Although this is not the right attitude for Christians, the lesson drawn from his utterances is related to the words of God in the above scripture. The creator of heaven and earth said because we are precious to Him, He would give us nations in exchange for our lives as obedient children. God means every word of that statement, He was not bragging neither is He today. King David testified and said in Psalm 136: 11 that God struck down the firstborn of Egypt to release them from bondage. Do you know and believe that you are precious to God? If you do, then you need to walk with God in love and obedience to remain precious to Him.
