God Is Ever Present With His Beloved

THE SEED
“Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded. And he went out to meet Asa and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.” 2 Chronicles 15:1-2 NKJV

From time immemorial God has been constant in His relationship with humans being. One of God’s unique characteristics is faithfulness. He desires that we learn from Him and be faithful children to Him as well. God loves us but will never force Himself on us. He has done everything possible to show His love to us. God will continue to make us realise how much He loves us in every way. In the scriptural verses above, King Asa established to us how to mend our crooked way because of God. When he became king of Judah, the first thing he did was make amendments to the relationship Judah had with God. This relationship had broken not because God ceased to be God but because the people left the living God to follow strange gods. King Asa turned things around with the authority he has as a king, he brought his people back to God asking for forgiveness and making a new covenant with God that they will serve Him alone and not strange gods. All along God didn’t go away from them, because they are His chosen people just like us today. God never leaves His chosen people but He would always wait on them to come back home to him whenever they stray away from Him. As God’s beloved, don’t ever believe the lies of the devil that God has forsaken you. God will not forsake you but He can chastise you for doing wrong after knowing that God is always waiting for us to come back to Him to make an amendment.
