An Ever-Present Help

THE SEED
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 NIV.

This Psalm is a reminder of God’s hands in frightening situations, and His powerful presence. This is exemplified in the life of the three Hebrew men thrown into the furnace of fire. King Nebuchadnezzar was baffled when he saw four men instead of three thrown into the blazing fire, Dan 3: 19-27. God was their refuge and He rescued them. God will be a very present help in trouble when we are facing situations that seem challenging and overwhelming. If we have the assurance of His help, is there anything that should prevent us from accessing the help? Although fear will come upon you, but stand back to behold the glory of God, He is there in the situation with you and will comfort you through it all. The Psalm concludes partly with, be still and know that I am the Lord. verse 10.
