THE SEED
“Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that is accustomed to do evil.” Jeremiah 13:23 (KJV)
In Revelation 9, the solemn imagery of the trumpet judgments describes the gravity of humanity’s rebellion. Jeremiah 13:23 reminds us of our inherent inability to change our nature, paralleling the unyielding spirit portrayed in the disastrous visions.
A stony heart resists God’s transformative power. The trumpet judgments serve as a clarion call, urging us to reconsider our ways before divine judgment unfolds. Our hearts, similar to the unyielding heart of Pharoah, can act as barriers to God’s mercy. Nevertheless, God desires repentance over destruction.
As we contemplate these verses of the scripture, let us examine our hearts. Are we resistant to God’s call for change? Let us seek His mercy, allowing Him to soften our hearts and lead us away from the path of destruction. This is the best way to go
