A TIME OF DIVISION
THE SEED
“For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.” – Micah 7:6 (KJV)
Micah 7:6 paints a stark picture of division, even within families. This tension reflects a deeper spiritual conflict, showing us that our faith in God may sometimes create divides with those closest to us. Jesus Himself spoke of such divisions as part of following Him (Matthew 10:34-36). Though these struggles may cause pain, we are called to stay steadfast in our relationship with God. Our loyalty to Him must remain firm, even when it leads to tension with others. Trust in God’s justice and timing, knowing that He will bring peace in His way and time. In the moments of division, may we seek strength in God, knowing He is our refuge and guide?
