Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. 1 Pet 3:15b
If you are starting in evangelism, you should be prepared to answer whenever you are asked questions about salvation.
As believers, we are being reminded in the above scripture to always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have. This verse is like a guiding light in our journey of faith, urging us to be ready to share the source of our hope with others. Our hope as Christians is not mere optimism or wishful thinking, but a confident assurance in God’s promises. In times of trouble and uncertainty, our hope shines brighter because it is rooted in the unchanging love and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father. Let’s not keep this hope to ourselves; instead, let’s be eager to share it with those around us. As we do so, we can reference a marching verse from Matthew 5:16: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” This verse encourages us to not only speak about our hope but also to live it out through our actions. When we share the reason for our hope and live out our faith, we become beacons of light in a world that often feels dark and uncertain. Our testimony can inspire others to seek the same hope and find the peace and joy that come from a relationship with Jesus Christ.
