BEING PASSIONATE FOR GOD

THE SEED

“I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids until I found out a place for the Lord, a habitation for the mighty God of Jacob” Psalm 132:4-5 (KJV)

This Psalm outlines King David’s desire to build a place of worship for God. He was so full of zeal and love for his God. This is because David was able to look back to all God has done for him and how far He has taken him. For this reason, David knew that it was only appropriate to give up his substance for the work of God. We should aspire to have this same motivation. God has done so much for us and will continue to do so because He is faithful. Therefore, it should not be a thing of struggle to offer praise and thanksgiving to Him. We should be excited to engage in ministerial and evangelism work to bring more people to Christ as well as release our substance to the work of God. Remember, God has given us many talents and we must give a report on how we have made use of them, be passionate in your work for God so that you can multiply what He has given you and be hailed as a good and faithful servant in the end.

PRAYER: Lord God, I want to prioritise you in my life and be passionate about you. Please, give me the strength to work for you and fill me with your Holy Spirit to carry out your will in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
